dandy vintage ads is dedicated to the good, the bad, the racist and the unintentionally gay advertising of days gone by - the ads range from 19th century through the early 1990s, with a heavy concentration in the 1920s, 1940s and 1950s.

this blog is run by a not-so-vintage copywriter with a keen interest in how advertising reflects american culture and history. I personally pull almost all of the ads from american publications and can verify that everything posted here is authentic and dated correctly.
